Pap's Venison Roast
Pap'S Venison Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large venison roast, 6 or 7 large potatoes, cubed, 3 large carrots, sliced, 2 stalks celery, chopped and 1 medium onion, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Heat oven to 225° to 250°.
Place roast in the center of a large cast-iron pot.
Add potatoes, celery and carrots around roast.
Place sliced onion on top of roast.
Add salt, pepper, seasoned salt and hot sauce to taste.
Cover with glass lid and slowly bake for 3 1/2 to 4 hours (or until very tender).
