Pancit
Pancit is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 c. cooking oil, 2 cloves garlic, minced, 1 medium onion, minced, 1 c. boiled pork, sliced or sliced chicken breast and 1 small cabbage, shredded, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Saute garlic in cooking oil.
Add onions, pork (or chicken), carrot and cabbage; season with soy sauce.
Add broth; simmer.
Mix in rice sticks (Bijon); season with salt to taste and MSG (optional).
Garnish with Chinese sausage and scallions.
May also serve with hard-boiled egg, cut up or scrambled egg, cut in strips.
