Oyster Stew
Oyster Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. oysters, 1 1/2 tbsp. flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. water and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Drain oysters, reserve liquid, set oysters aside.
Combine oyster liquid, flour, salt and water in saucepan.
Stir until smooth.
Add oysters and butter, simmer five minutes.
Stir scalded milk and cream into mixture.
Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 15 minutes.
Reheat over very low heat if desired. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
