Oyster Soup
Oyster Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. sweet milk, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 2 tbsp. margarine, 1 slice bacon and 1 stalk celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Put milk into double boiler.
Rub together the cornstarch and margarine and stir into the hot milk, adding the bacon and celery. Let come to a boil.
Pour a few drops of lemon juice over the oysters and bring them to a boiling point in their own liquor. Drain and (if they should curdle, wash them in a little cold water).
Turn at once into the milk.
Season with salt and pepper; remove the bacon and celery.
Pour over broken crackers into a hot tureen or soup plates and serve immediately.
