Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Blanch carrots until crisp-tender, remove from pot with slotted spoon.

Cook pasta in same water to desired doneness, drain and rinse with cold water. In a large bowl, combine pasta, sugar snap peas, carrots and onion.

In a small bowl, combine oil, sugar and contents of Oriental flavor packet, blending well. Pour over pasta mixture; toss to coat.

Cover and chill at least 1 hour to blend flavors. Just before serving, break the uncooked instant noodles into pieces and cashews in half.

Toss sesame seed with chilled salad. Scatter noodle and cashew pieces over top of salad.

Serves ten.
