Onion Soup
Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 5 large bermuda onions, 1/4 lb. butter, 1/2 tsp. sugar, beef stock (about 5 c.) and 1/2 c. dry wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Saute onions (4-quart pot full) in butter and sugar, stirring constantly until brown (30 minutes or so).
Add beef stock, wine, salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
Pour over toasted croutons and grated Gruyere cheese.
Bake in a 350Β° oven until bubbly and brown.
Use Swiss if Gruyere is unavailable.
