Onion Celeste
Onion Celeste is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 2 large bermuda onions, sliced and separated, 1/2 lb. parmesan cheese, grated (not in the can), 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook onions in butter (covered, cook slowly 30 minutes). Spoon in baking dish.
Spread grated cheese over onions; add pepper.
Heat soup and milk in same skillet, stirring until smooth.
Pour over onions.
Stir lightly.
Overlap French bread slices in ring on top.
Bake at 350Β° for about 30 minutes or until bread is toasted and sauce is bubbly hot.
