Old Fashioned Pound Cake
Old Fashioned Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1/2 c. shortening, 3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. vanilla and 1 tbsp. lemon extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter and shortening in large mixing bowl, until fluffy. Add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, creaming well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon extract and juice.
Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition.
Sift together flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Stir thoroughly after each addition. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 1 hour and 20 to 30 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool for 15 minutes on wire rack; remove from pan.
