Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding
Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 1/2 c. milk, divided, 3 c. day-old bread cubes, 5 lrg. eggs, divided, 1/3 c. sugar and 2 tsp. baking pwd., this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Grease a 13 by 9 inch baking dish. Heat 4 cups milk in a medium saucepan just until bubbles form around edge of pan, about 7 min.
Combine warm milk and bread cubes in a medium bowl.
Let stand until cool.
Whisk 3 eggs in a medium bowl.
Stir in sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add bread cube mixture and mix well.
Stir in butter and vanilla.
Spoon bread mixture into prepared dish.
Bake until set and lightly browned, about 1 hour. For sauce, combine brown sugar and flour in a medium saucepan.
Stir in remaining milk and remaining eggs. Cook over low heat, stirring continually, until thickened. Drizzle over bread pudding in dessert bowls.
