Mushroom Croustade
Mushroom Croustade is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 loaf unsliced white or vienna bread, 2 lb. mushrooms, 1/2 tsp. dried thyme, 1/4 c. dry sherry and 1/2 c. whipping cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Slice your bread into 2-inch slices.
Trim the crust, pull the center out of the bread, leaving the bottom intact.
You will be left with a flat bottomed "cup" of bread.
Your mushrooms will cover any imperfections.
Brush each bread croustade with a tablespoon of the melted butter.
Put into a 350Β° oven for 8 to 10 minutes, watching carefully until they just turn a golden color around the edges and are slightly toasted.
