Mother's Lemon Snow Cake
Mother'S Lemon Snow Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. cornstarch, 2 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift the sugar, flour and cornstarch before measuring.
Then sift the measured cornstarch, flour, baking powder and salt together 4 times.
Cream the butter thoroughly and add the sugar a little at a time, creaming it in well.
Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks. Fold into the creamed mixture.
Pour into 3 greased and floured layer cake pans and bake in a 350Β° oven for 25 minutes.
Cool in pans for 15 minutes.
Remove from pans and finish cooling.
Put the layers together with filling.
