Mondel Bread
Mondel Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 eggs, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. oil, 1/2 tsp. almond extract and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Place tin foil on 2 cookie sheets. Beat eggs well until thick.
Add sugar, oil, almond and vanilla extract and orange juice.
Beat well; add flour and baking powder to egg mixture one cup at a time, mixing well.
Add nuts and chocolate chips.
Divide dough by spooning onto cookie sheets 3-inches wide by 1-inch thick.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and cut into pieces.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Return to oven and bake 8 minutes until brown.
Turn over and repeat.
Cool and put in tight containers.
