Molasses Cookies
Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. crisco, 1 c. grandma's molasses, 2 large eggs and 2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1/3 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix the sugar, Crisco, molasses, eggs and soda mixture together.
Sift the flour, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Add sifted ingredients to cookie dough. Chill dough 1 hour or more. Roll out. Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen small or 3 dozen large cookies.
