Milwaukee Potato Soup
Milwaukee Potato Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut up, 1/2 onion, finely chopped, 1/4 c. butter, 1/4 c. flour and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Boil the potatoes and onion in salted water until soft.
Drain and reserve liquid.
Melt butter in same pan. Stir in flour and brown slightly. Combine milk and 1 cup reserved liquid. Stir into flour mixture. Stir and cook until thickened. Add the potatoes, mashed slightly.
Serve with cheese sprinkled on top.
