Milk Gravy
Milk Gravy is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. fat, 3 to 4 heaping tbsp. flour, 3 c. milk and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
When sausage, ham or bacon has cooked, remove from skillet and keep warm. Pour fat that has accumulated in the skillet into a heat-proof measuring cup. Return 1/3 cup to the skillet. Add flour and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, until flour no longer smells raw. Add milk all at once and cook, stirring constantly, until gravy is thick, about 2 or 3 minutes.
Add salt.
