Milk Chocolate Florentines
Milk Chocolate Florentines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. butter, 2 c. quick oats, uncooked, 1 c. sugar, 2/3 c. all-purpose flour and 1/4 c. corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Preheat oven to 375°.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat.
Stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla extract and salt; mix well.
Drop by level teaspoonfuls, about 3 inches apart, onto foil-lined cookie sheets. Spread thin with a rubber spatula.
Bake at 375° for 5 to 7 minutes.
Cool completely on wire racks.
Peel foil from cookies. Melt over hot (not boiling) water, the milk chocolate morsels; stir until smooth.
Spread chocolate on flat side of 1/2 the cookies. Top with remaining cookies.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen sandwich cookies.
