Microwave Cheese Sauce
Microwave Cheese Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. milk and 8 oz. cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a 1-quart glass dish, place butter, flour and salt. Microwave at High for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk; microwave at High for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes, stirring every minute until thick and bubbly.
Add cheese and cayenne pepper.
Stir to melt cheese.
For thicker sauce use 3 tablespoons flour instead of 2 tablespoons.
Makes 1 cup.
