Microwave Caramel Corn
Microwave Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 16 c. popped popcorn, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 stick margarine, 1/4 c. light karo syrup and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Place popcorn in 5-quart bowl or paper sack.
In 2 1/2-quart bowl, combine the brown sugar, margarine, Karo syrup and salt. Microwave the mixture to a boil on Full power, takes about 3 minutes.
Boil the mixture for 3 minutes, stirring several times. Remove mixture from microwave and stir in baking soda.
Mix well. Pour mixture over popcorn.
Coat evenly.
Put coated popcorn back in microwave and cook 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Stirring coats popcorn evenly.
As corn cools, it becomes crisp. Store in airtight container.
