Mexican Stuffed Shells
Mexican Stuffed Shells is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box pasta shells (for stuffing), 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 16 oz. picante sauce or salsa (mild), 1/2 c. water and 8 oz. tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook and drain shells. Brown beef and drain.
Combine picante sauce, water and tomato sauce.
Stir 1/2 cup into ground beef along with chilies, 1/2 cup grated cheese and onion.
Mix. Pour 1/2 of remaining sauce on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
Stuff shells with meat.
Arrange shells in dish, pour remaining sauce over shells.
Then top with remaining cheese. Bake in 350Β° oven for 30 to 40 minutes (cover for at least 30 minutes of baking time).
