Marinara Sauce
Marinara Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. olive oil, 1 large onion, chopped, 6 cloves garlic, sliced, 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, or 3 small cans sliced mushrooms and 1/2 tsp. dried red pepper, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion; saute until tender, about 10 minutes.
Add garlic; saute 1 minute. Add mushrooms and crushed red pepper; saute until mushrooms just begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes (cut up) and reserved juices.
Cover and cook around 2 hours on low heat. Makes enough sauce for 1 package spaghetti.
