Lorraine's German Potato Salad
Lorraine'S German Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 lb. red potatoes, cooked and cooled, 1 large white onion, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 lb. bacon, diced and fried (save grease) and 1/4 c. white vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook potatoes.
Cool, peel and slice them in a large bowl. Add chopped onion.
Add sugar.
Cook diced bacon until crisp. Pour over potatoes, onion and sugar.
Bring to boil the vinegar. Pour over potatoes.
If you need more vinegar, add 1/4 cup at a time.
