Loaf Bread
Loaf Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. water, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tbsp. shortening and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Dissolve yeast in warm water (1 1/4 cups); leave it for 5 minutes.
Put 2 cups water in bowl.
Add sugar, salt, shortening and 2 cups flour to make paste.
Add softened yeast and flour until stiff.
Rest mixture 10 minutes.
Sift in more flour; knead 10 minutes.
Put in greased pan; let rise 2 hours.
Knead.
Let rise 1 hour more.
Shape in loaves; rest.
Bake at 375Β° for 45 minutes.
Butter top; let cool on table.
