Linda's High-Energy Caramel Corn
Linda'S High-Energy Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. light brown sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1/2 lb. margarine or butter, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In large saucepan, combine sugar, syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt.
Stir over medium-high heat to boiling.
Stirring constantly, boil rapidly to the hard-ball stage (260Β°), about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in baking soda, quickly but thoroughly.
Pour over large bowl of popcorn.
Stir gently until kernels are coated.
