Lemon-Glazed Persimmon Bars
Lemon-Glazed Persimmon Bars is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 2 hours 22 minutes. Made with c. persimmon pulp, . chopped pitted dates, . lemon juice, c. salad oil and c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix persimmon pulp and lemon juice with soda and set aside. In large bowl lightly beat egg, sugar, oil and dates. Combine dry ingredients.
Add to date mixture alternately with persimmon pulp just until well blended.
Stir in nuts.
Spread on greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350Β° about 25 minutes until lightly browned.
Cool pan about 5 minutes, then spread with Lemon Glaze.
Cool thoroughly.
Cut in bars 3 x 1 1/2-inches. Keep well wrapped.
Makes 30 bars.
(Raisins can be used, giving different flavor.)
