Lemon Bread
Lemon Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. cake flour, 1/2 c. margarine, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, well beaten and 1/2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream margarine and sugar (1 cup).
Add eggs and mix well. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk in few additions.
Stir in lemon rind.
Bake in well-greased loaf pan at 350Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Have the lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar ready.
Mix well and pour over loaf when taken from the oven.
Let bread cool in pan before serving.
Makes several servings.
