Italian Dinner Rolls
Italian Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. garlic salt and 1 tsp. italian seasoning, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and seasoning; mix well.
In saucepan heat milk, water and butter until warm (120° to 130°, butter does not need to melt); add to flour mixture.
Add egg.
Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
By hand, gradually stir in 1/2 cup cheese and enough remaining flour to make a firm dough.
Knead on well-floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl, turning to grease top.
Cover; let rise in warm oven (turn oven to lowest setting for 1 minute, turn off) for 15 minutes.
