Irish Bread
Irish Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. salt and 2/3 c. sugar (increase to 1 c. if desired), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
Add sugar, raisins, caraway seed and margarine.
Blend well and then add buttermilk and eggs.
Stir and bake at 350Β° for 55 to 60 minutes.
I use a black-iron frying pan; any heavy, round pan will do.
Cool and wrap to keep.
