Hungarian Pastry
Hungarian Pastry is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter or margarine, 3 1/4 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 6 egg yolks, beaten and 4 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream sugar and butter.
Flour (sifted with baking powder and soda). Add alternately, the egg yolks with vanilla. Beat until thick.
Beaters well. Press dough in 11 x
17-inch with palm of hand.
Spread fruit preserves over dough.
Beat egg whites stiff with sugar; spread over the preserves. Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cut into squares.
