Hot Rolls or Sticky Buns
Hot Rolls Or Sticky Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. mashed potatoes, 1 pkg. yeast, 1/3 c. lukewarm water, 1 c. milk and 1/2 c. granulated sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Scald milk on low; add butter, salt and sugar, then cool to lukewarm.
Add 2 1/2 cups flour and beat well.
Add yeast and egg and potatoes.
Add remaining 2 cups of flour.
Put on board and knead lightly.
Put in greased bowl and cover.
Let rise until double in size.
Shape into rolls or buns and let rise about 1 hour.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350Β°. For sweet rolls, cut with a round cutter, spread with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and seal.
