Hot Pretzels
Hot Pretzels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/8 c. hot water, 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 5 c. flour, 1 1/3 c. warm water and 1/3 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat oven to 475Β°.
Grease cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, mix the hot water and yeast.
Add water (warm) and sugar slowly.
Add 5 cups flour.
Stir until smooth (not sticking to sides); knead it.
Form dough into golf ball size balls and shape each into pretzels.
Fill a frying pan with water.
For each cup of water used, add 1 tablespoon baking soda.
Place pretzels in gently boiling water for 30 seconds.
Take out of the water and place on cookie sheet.
Salt pretzels.
Bake for 8 minutes until golden brown.
Can be frozen before baking.
