Hot Mushroom Dip
Hot Mushroom Dip is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 slices bacon, 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, 1 medium onion, finely chopped, 1 garlic clove, minced and 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Fry bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
Crumble bacon and set aside.
Add mushrooms, onion and garlic to reserved drippings and cook over medium heat until tender and most of mushroom liquid has evaporated, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Mix in flour, salt and pepper.
Add cream cheese, Worcestershire and soy sauce.
Reduce heat to low and stir until cheese is melted. Remove from heat; stir in sour cream and bacon.
Serve warm with assorted crackers.
