Hot German Potato Salad
Hot German Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. potatoes (about 4 medium), cubed, 3 slices bacon, 1 medium onion, 1 tbsp. flour and 1 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Heat one inch of salt water (1/2 teaspoon to every cup water) to boiling.
Add potatoes.
Heat to boiling.
Cook 20 to 25 minutes or until tender.
Drain and cool.
Fry bacon until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels.
Cook onion in bacon fat until tender.
Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly. Remove from heat.
Stir in water and vinegar.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil one minute, then remove from heat. Crumble bacon into mixture.
Toss into potatoes until coated.
