"Hot" German Potato Salad
"Hot" German Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. sausage, 4 strips bacon, 1/2 c. chopped onions, 1/3 c. diced celery and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Fry bacon, then remove from pan when done.
Saute onions and celery in bacon drippings until limp.
Add salt, sugar, pepper, dry mustard, water and vinegar.
Boil for 2 minutes.
Crumble bacon, then add bacon, potatoes and mayonnaise to seasoned sauce. Heat slowly on top of stove (or heat in a 300Β° oven for 20 minutes).
Top with sausage and serve.
