Healthy New England Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. margarine, 1 large onion, finely chopped, 1 (8 oz.) bottle clam juice, 1 c. water and 2 to 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt margarine in large saucepan.
Add onion and saute until limp.
Add clam juice, water and potatoes.
Simmer until potatoes are tender.
Add clams and milks.
Heat slowly over low heat about 45 minutes.
