Hawaiian Meatballs
Hawaiian Meatballs is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. ginger (optional), 1 egg, well beaten and 1 tsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cut bell peppers in strips.
Season ground beef with salt and ginger.
Make approximately 16 small balls.
Combine egg and water. I dip each ball into mixture and then roll in flour.
Saute in hot oil in large frypan (brown).
Add brown sugar, cornstarch or flour, vinegar and soy sauce.
Heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
Boil 3 minutes and add meatballs, peppers and pineapple in syrup.
Cover and simmer approximately 30 minutes.
