Harry's French Bread #2
Harry'S French Bread #2 is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. oil, 1 1/2 c. very warm water and 1 1/4 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar and salt.
Put 1 cup flour in food processor.
Add yeast mixture and blend.
Add oil and flour, 1 cup at a time.
Process until ball is formed.
Remove to a floured counter and knead just until smooth.
Shape into 2 balls and let rise for 10 minutes.
Roll into a 9 x 12-inch rectangle, then roll up jelly roll style and put onto a baking sheet that has been greased and dusted with corn meal.
Make 4 or 5 diagonal cuts on top with sharp knife.
Cover with damp cloth and let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Bake at 400Β° for 30 to 35 minutes. When done, brush with melted butter.
Makes 2 loaves.
