Green Pepper Steak
Green Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak (1-inch thick round steak may be used), 1/2 tsp. pepper, 1 c. thinly sliced celery, 1 can (1 1/4 c.) beef broth and 2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cut steak into strips 3 inches long.
Wash, quarter and remove seeds; cut 1/2 strips.
Heat oil in skillet; lightly brown meat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic.
Add green peppers, celery and onions, stirring.
Prevent sticking.
Add beef broth and cook, covered, over low heat 5 minutes.
Mix cornstarch and Worcestershire sauce together and add to meat mixture until sauce thickens.
Serve over hot rice.
