Green Beans with Mushrooms
Green Beans With Mushrooms is an easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. whole green beans, salt, 4 tbsp. butter, 1 lb. mushrooms, thinly sliced (fresh) and pepper, freshly ground, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Wash beans and remove tips.
Add them, a handful at a time, to large pot of boiling, salted water, so that the water does not stop boiling.
Cook, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes.
Then immediately drain and plunge into cold water to stop the cooking.
Return beans to empty pot and shake briefly over high heat to dry them. Set aside and keep warm.
Melt butter in the oil and saute mushrooms until just wilted.
Combine with beans; toss and season well.
