Green Beans Oriental
Green Beans Oriental is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 cans cut green beans, 1 medium onion, sliced, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1/3 c. flour and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Drain beans.
Saute onion in butter until soft.
Add flour and blend.
Slowly add milk and cheese; cook until smooth and thick, stirring constantly.
Add seasonings.
Stir in cooked or canned beans, mushrooms and chestnuts.
Sprinkle almonds over top and bake, uncovered, at 375Β° until bubbly.
Makes 8 to 10 servings. This can be made the day before, but don't put almonds on until you put it into the oven.
