Green Bean-Mushroom Medley
Green Bean-Mushroom Medley is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. fresh beans, cut in 1-inch pieces (1 1/2 c.), 2 medium carrots, cut crosswise in halves, then 3/8-inch strips, 1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch strips, 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, cut in 1/2-inch slices or 1 can sliced mushrooms and 1/4 tsp. garlic, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat 1-inch water in 2-quart pan to boiling.
Add beans and carrots.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat and cover.
Simmer until tender, about 12 minutes.
Drain.
Cook and stir onion and mushrooms in margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat; cover and cook 3 minutes.
Stir in beans, carrots, salt, m.s.g., garlic salt and pepper.
Cover and cook over medium heat, 5 minutes.
