Grandma's Sauerkraut
Grandma'S Sauerkraut is an easy dinner. Made with 3 to 4 slices bacon, diced, 1 good size yellow onion, sliced thin, 1 very large can sauerkraut, drained (save juice) and 1 tbsp. caraway seed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a good size frypan, fry bacon until crisp.
Add onion and saute until onion is limp.
Fork in drained sauerkraut and stir until ingredients are evenly mixed.
Adjust the flame until it is as low as possible.
Continue to cook until sauerkraut begins to brown.
Stir in caraway seed.
Try not to eat all the sauerkraut out of the pan before serving!
