Grandma Mary's Raisin Pie
Grandma Mary'S Raisin Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. dark syrup, 2 tbsp. lemon juice and pie crust for double pie, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, water, syrup and raisins.
Cook and stir until bubbly.
Cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and margarine.
Pour filling into pastry lined pie plate glass pie dish; filling will be thin.
Cover with top crust.
Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375° and bake 30 minutes more or until crust is golden brown.
Makes 8 servings.
