Grandma Helen'S Chinese Beef Skillet is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. top round steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips, 4 tbsp. cooking oil, 1/4 c. chopped onions, 1 clove garlic, minced and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Very thin strips (easier when slightly frozen).
Preheat frypan medium heat for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Add
Fry half beef until brown; remove. Brown remainder in onion and garlic.
Return browned beef to pan. Add celery; cover and simmer for 5 minutes, then add pea pods and water chestnuts until tender.
Transfer meat and vegetables to serving dish.
Combine cornstarch with 1/2 cup of and soy sauce; into pan juices.
Cook, stirring until mixture thickens.
Pour over meat and vegetables.
