Goulash
Goulash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. bottom round or cross rib, 2 tbsp. special oil, 1 c. chopped onions, 3/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
The fat from the meat; cut meat in 1 1/2-inch cubes.
The oil in a heavy saucepan or Dutch oven.
Brown the meat in it.
Remove meat.
In the oil remaining, brown the onions.
Return and mix in the salt, pepper, garlic and paprika is coated.
Add the water and tomato sauce.
Over low heat 1 1/2 hours.
Serves 4, calories 315 per serving.
