Golden Treasure Cake
Golden Treasure Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 6 eggs, 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 1/2 c. sugar, plus 2 tbsp., divided, 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Separate eggs, placing whites in large mixer bowl, yolks in small mixer bowl.
Add cream of tartar to whites; beat at high speed until foamy.
Gradually add 3/4 cup of the sugar; beat until stiff.
To yolks, add flour, 3/4 cup sugar plus 2 tablespoons sugar, salt, water, orange concentrate and extracts.
Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 1 minute at medium.
Pour over whites. By hand, fold batter gently and thoroughly into whites, just until well blended.
Pour into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 55 minutes, until top springs back when touched lightly, invert and cool.
