Golden Mushroom Fritters
Golden Mushroom Fritters is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. biscuit mix, 1 c. chopped, fresh mushrooms, 2 tbsp. sliced scallions, 1 tbsp. chopped pimiento and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix, mushrooms, onion, pimiento, salt and celery seed.
Mix egg yolk and sour cream and stir into mushroom mixture.
Beat egg white until stiff.
Gently fold into mushroom mixture.
In heavy saucepan or deep-fat fryer, heat oil to 375Β°.
Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Fry about 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
Transfer to rack to drain.
Serve hot.
