Gingerbread(Heart Healthy) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. molasses, 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. safflower oil, 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Using low speed of electric mixer, blend molasses, brown sugar, oil and spices.
Add boiling water.
Blend.
Gradually add flour.
Beat 2 minutes until smooth. Dissolve baking soda in 2 tablespoons hot water. Add to batter.
Blend.
Pour into an 8-inch sprayed or Teflon lined pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream substitute.
