Ginger Chicken with Ham-Fried Rice
Ginger Chicken With Ham-Fried Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. soy sauce, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. minced ginger root, 1 clove garlic, minced and 1 (3 lb.) broiler-fryer, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine soy sauce, sugar, ginger root and garlic in a large zip-top heavy-duty plastic bag.
Place chicken in bag and secure tightly.
Refrigerate at least 8 hours, turning bag occasionally. Remove chicken, reserving marinade.
Arrange chicken pieces in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish with thickest portions towards outside of dish.
Cover with wax paper and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce to Medium-high (70% power); cover and microwave for 20 minutes, rearranging pieces and topping with marinade after 10 minutes.
Serve over Ham-Fried Rice.
