Frosted Sugar Cookies
Frosted Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. margarine, softened, 1 egg, 2 tbsp. skim milk and 2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Beat brown sugar and margarine at medium speed with mixer until light and fluffy.
Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Combine 3 cups flour, baking powder and salt, stirring well. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, mixing well. Cover and chill 2 hours.
Divide dough in half.
Leave rest in refrigerator.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon flour on work area surface. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut with a 2-inch cutter. Place cookies on sheet with cooking spray.
Bake at 350Β° for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are brown.
Cool on wire racks.
Combine powdered sugar and water.
