French Onion Soup
French Onion Soup is an impressive dinner. Made with 4 large onions, 3 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour, fresh pepper and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Slice and chop onions.
Saute in butter until limp.
Sprinkle with flour, pepper, garlic powder, sugar, parsley and thyme.
Cook until golden brown.
Add enough water to consomme to make 1 quart. Combine with onion mixture and add wine; simmer 45 minutes.
At the last minute, stir in cognac (no more than 2 tablespoons).
